Xbox not starting but is making startup sounds.

Every time l press the power button, the light does not turn on and there is just the start up sound. I have tried reseting using a usb and it did not fix it, i have been holding the sync and eject buttons for a few hours trying to get it to start. If someone could help i would be very greatful.

I'm an Xbox Ambassador and I'll try to help out in any way I can. One quick qustion....are you part of the insider program on your console? I ask only because I had this issue a while back with my One X, took it off the Program and everything returned to normal. This also coincided with constantly having the console asking for these random 68MB updates over and over again.

I might be a part of an insider program. I am not able to turn on my Xbox to go to the home page so I would not be able to do anything.

However, I have been getting updates the last few times I got it to startup. Is there a way to check on my computer?

Hmm It sounds like you have your xbox configured to start oneguide on startup. To fix this go to settings, power + startup, and then uncheck On start go to tv.

Are you talking about the xbox logo startup sound?? If so try a google search with "xbox startup sound mp3" I found numerous results...
