    Xbox not registering sounds from my headset mic


    Hey I've seen several things about this in random places but most of them were years ago and unresolved or were related to suspensions but here's my issue...

    A couple days ago I got online and my mic wasn't being heard. Xbox acknowledges I have a headset and mic and it lets me go through the sound options for them. I can also hear myself when I talk or blow in the mic. At the same time Xbox does not register
    any sounds from it. Not in parties, not in game, and not even in messages because I tried it there too. It's not a hardware problem because I've tried several headsets with the same issue. It's extremely irritating.

    Has anyone come to a common solution on the fix for this or am I just s.o.l.?

    I've tried the resetting and all that stuff already as well, no luck.

    Any advice would be great. Thanks!

    Well I too just got the problem where out of nowhere my mic suddently stopped registering sound, I can hear other people but my mic doesnt work and i am pretty sure the headset is ok, this started happening after I tried the appear offline function on the
    xbox one

    Mic on multiple devices not working.

    I have two headsets, one being the standard headset from Xbox one, and another using an adapter. In both cases, I can hear other people or the game fine from the headsets, but the mic is not working. On both of my controllers, the mic does not work, and
    it is not a muting problem. Also, I just got the adapter today, and it does the same thing, no mic, but I can hear sound.

    “We can’t find a microphone for these people”. Will there be a fix? Don't if this should be under "Post a question" or "Post a discussion"

    Just to clarify a couple things:

    The system doesn't detect the mic, but do you still hear sounds through the headset at all?

    When you connect the headset to the PC does the PC recognize the mic and you can record to the PC with it? (you can test the mic volume to see if the PC is actually registering any sound from the mic)

    I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?

    Any other options for a mic test? I have TBX12's with a home made adapter. I have no problem getting game sound to my headset but the mic is not working. Wish i could test mic without having to go into a lobby. I soldered the wires together myself, I
    might just have to re-solder. Also I have to turn off my avr to get sound from my headset. I have them plugged into my tv's headphone jack. Anyone know why I would have to turn off avr to get sound from headset?
