    Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    After the most recent Xbox update, whenever I am streaming to the pc I can hear but the Xbox says it can't find a mic for me. I am using the Logitech g930 and was having no problems before the update. I have reinstalled windows 10 (this with other issues
    finally made me break down for a nice refresh) and it is still happening. When I play directly on the Xbox (on the TV non streaming) It sees my other headphones just fine. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and I have tried this with the Xbox app as well as the Xbox
    beta app, I can still connect to chat through the app itself but would like to go back to joining parties while in the streaming session.

    :)

  2. Mic won't work through game streaming

    Ever since the update on xbox, my mic does not work through game streaming. On the top right it now shows a mute mic symbol. My mic is working fine as it works when I'm not using game streaming and just am playing on my xbox. How can I fix this?

    no headset mic streaming since March 2017 Update

    Hi,

    since the march 2017 update applied itself to my xbox one, the headset mic no longer registers when streaming from any of my windows 10 computers.

    * problem started after xbox one update

    * tried restarting xbox one

    * tried total power cycle

    * using official xbox one wireless adaptor

    * using official xbox one controllers

    * streaming works but the no mic icon is always there

    * party chat says no mic detected

    * xbox headset and mic are default on windows and are working

    * windows 10 creators update did not resolve it

    * running latest xbox and xbox beta apps

    * clean install of windows doesn't help

    * tried wireless and wired connections

    * tried with the headset adaptor and with the 3.5 jack directly

    * controller shows no firmware update required

    * tried multiple controllers

    * headset works fine when not streaming (i.e using directly on xbox)

    i'm out of options, is this known to be broken? if any any timescale on a fix?

    thanks

    Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    Thank god! I've found someone with the exact same problem.

    This has been driving me CRAZY! I even got in contact with microsoft and they mentioned it's been an "ongoing issue".

    I knew it had to be related to the new update, I'm guessing it's caused by some kind of compatibility issues.

  5. Same issue here, I updated and its complete **** since I'm on springbreak as a highschool student Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update. :( and I use gamestreaming specifically to speak with my xbox plugged into my monitor. Been googling forever and the only real suggestion I've seen is "LOL enable
    yoour mic dooode", so I'm glad other people are experiencing this issue atleast and I'm not alone in being screwed like this....

    Damn, I'm surprised that more people hav'nt been complaining -_-

    I just hope that we don't have to wait weeks for a patch / fix.

  7. Yeah its likely going to be awhile and it sucks. It'll most likely be fixed Sunday night, knowing my luck :/. Hopefully its not, I'll come back here and write a thank you post if it's fixed before Friday.

  8. Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    I am experiencing the same issue as well after the update. I am using the official Xbox controller with the official xbox stereo headset/mic attached to the controller. I have no problems using the mic/headset on my xbox or even on the PC itself when testing
    it. When using the xbox app on my Win 10 desktop and connecting to my xbox for streaming it doesn't seem to recognize the mic. I can hear others but they can't hear me due to the mic not being detected. I have gone through all the normal troubleshooting and
    then some extra as I work with computers/servers for a living (headset is set as default device, re-installed app, re-installed drivers, tested on another PC, etc). Something is wonky with Xbox app since the update. Pretty annoying. I wanted to connect to
    the xbox last night from my office while the wife had some of her friends over in the living room where the xbox is located and instead of doing so just wasted a couple hours of troubleshooting an issue that I can't fix. I am sure all of us would appreciate
    an update sooner than later to remedy this issue.

  9. Been having this same problem as well since just a day or two ago.

    As soon as the update went through, I couldn't use my mic. I've used different mics, different controllers, and different USB cords and nothing works. The mic works no matter what when I'm not in the Xbox App, but as soon as I start streaming a game, the
    Xbox won't recognize the headset. If I plug the controller directly into the Xbox using the side USB port or connect the controller wirelessly, the mic responds.

    This is a major issue that needs to be fixed and I'm glad that others have the same issues, so maybe enough visibility will get Microsoft/Xbox on this case to fix whatever it is that they've broken this time.

    Same problem. It was definitely caused by the latest update. I'm just glad other people have the same issue, so I know now that it's not something on my end.

    Sure glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Wasn't seeing anything on this recently so I thought it might just be me. I hope they are working on this.

    Got the same issue, did every possible fix i found on the internet then reinstalled windows only to realize the same problem was still there.

    Pretty much makes game streaming to PC unusable if you play any public online game.

    Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    Same issue, wasted a couple of hours of my life trying to figure it out before getting here. My guess is when they implemented Beam they were screwing around with the streaming. There should be a "Known Issues" section in the minimal patch notes they provide.
    Not really good enough in my opinion.

    This is an issue with the Xbox update. One of the two Xbox's that I have updated and the other that didn't update still work even with the Xbox App at the latest version. Once this unit updated I lost my PC mic when streaming. I even updated Windows 10 to
    the Creators Update in hopes that this fixed the issue since this added the same features as the Xbox update did. No dice on this and I even used the Xbox Beta App and still no go. My second Xbox is just far enough away that I can't use the controller linked
    to it so multiplayer games are so much harder now when you can't communicate with anyone. So flipping frustrating and it makes me wish I could roll back the update on my second Xbox until they get their stuff together and get this fixed.
