Discus and support Xbox not recognising hard drive as NTFS in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have formatted my hard drive multiple times to NTFS and plugged it into my xbox.     Xbox not recognising hard drive as NTFS


    I have formatted my hard drive multiple times to NTFS and plugged it into my xbox. I want to set it to capture location so i do, but then it says it needs to be formatted to NTFS. When it is. So i need so help. Its usb 3.0 1 tb seagate hard drive. its not
    cheap and i would like it to work.

    May I know if you tried the opposite? I mean, format your hard drive as exFAT or another format. Then connect it to your Xbox and see if you can finally select it.

    If maybe the issue persist after that, please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

    What Xbox console do you have?
    Are you using an insider build / beta OS on it?
    If try using a different drive just for testing purposes, the same happens or are you able to format it?
    May I know if you tried connecting the drive to a different console to see if the issue persist?
    And besides formatting the drive in the PC, what else did you tried?
    In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed
