    So basically, I have my headset plugged in to my xbox one controller, but in the top right hand corner is a little "mic muted" symbol indicating that my headset is muted, and I don't know how to unmute it. Yes, I've looked at other forums and the xbox support
    page for the Headset Troubleshooting and no its not a headset problem, but an XBOX PROBLEM

    HEAR THAT MICROSOFT?

    YOU MESSED UP!

    so please if anybody has a fix to this, I'd love some help. I just got a new mic for my headset and now I can't even use it.

    You have to have the cable plugged in. It should state that before a firmware update is applied or started. It wont work wirelessly.

    Well I did a firmware update on my controller twice (wirelessly) and that didnt fix anything. I also did a hard and soft reset on my console, and that hadn't changed anything either.

    No I never got one of those cables with my xbox one s. I don't know if that came with the original xbox maybe? but no I don't have any cable; just the included HDMI and Power cord.

    Try using the headset on a diffrent account and see if it still giving you issues.

    I can go all the way up to "Assign Controller to account" and when I click on that, it just takes me to the "Who Are You?" page to sign in. After I click my name, It doesnt do anything
