    Xbox not reading saved data.


    My xbox one x stops saving games or won't launch any more games randomly throughout the day. I've reset it, hard reset it, and cleared local save files. These fix the problem but only for a few hours before my xbox will randomly stop saving, with no error
    code or notification. The only game that seems to still work is Destiny 2, but Im not sure why.

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox One not syncing your saved data. To troubleshoot this, please try

    removing your profile    , performing a
    power-cycle    , and adding your profile to your Xbox again.

    Hi Brian,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. If the games are digitally purchased, it will not be much of an issue to re-download them. When the company recovered them they are probably written for PC to read. The Xbox will not be able to read these and need to be reinstalled.
    As all your save data is saved to the cloud, when you reinstall and launch the game it will retrieve your save data from the cloud.

    it should sync automatically.

    if there is a difference between the cloud save and the local save, read the information very carefully to work out which is the one you want to keep.

    for example, your Xbox should have newer save data than the PC save on the Cloud (if that wasn't over written by the Xbox save data when you started the game up)

    try starting on the PC and choose local data to keep as that should be your save with all your progress.

    play for a while and let that save and synchronise the data with the cloud, then shut down the game and start it on Xbox and it should detect the cloud save and sync automatically.
