Xbox not powering on and no display on TV through HDMI

I switched on my Xbox One after four years. When I tried to switch on, it goes off within 3 to 4 seconds. Surprisingly, there is no display on TV. I checked for correctness of connection between console and tv but no joy. Sometimes, the Xbox remains on for about 20 seconds but still no display on tv. Tried power recycle multiple times, tried resetting by holding Pair button and eject button simultaneously and press power button. The power on tune came twice as expected but no progress. Request advice from the forum.

Hi, thank you for the response. It’s a original Xbox one with external power adaptor. Tried all the procedures, but still no joy

I plugged only the external power adaptor brick to wall power supply. The light on adaptor was Amber. Then I plugged in the output of adaptor brick to console. Then the adaptor light turned White for a while, then it was switching between amber and white for few seconds and became Amber permanently. Now, I switched on console, the adaptor light turned white, the console indicator light was also white. After 3 to 4 seconds, console switched off and adaptor light turns Amber. My TV won’t even detect the presence of Xbox hdmi input. I changed hdmi cable, tried different hdmi ports, plugged at different wall power supplies, tried multiple power cycle reset, everything that is written in supports and blogs.

Note: sometimes randomly, the console remains ON white for about 20 seconds but without display. After I disconnect power supply on power adaptor remains Amber for more than 90 seconds

Hi,

Which Xbox One console are you experiencing this issue with? Please specify the exact model. If it has an external power supply that can easily be replaced, then it’s the original Xbox One as all the other versions (both the One X and One S, as well as the Series X|S consoles) have an internal one.

It’s always best to try different wall outlets and power supply cables if possible, and verify everything is properly connected. If you manage to successfully power on your Xbox console and it stays on but there’s still no display (blank screen), then refer to:

Thank you. Unfortunately, India being a very big consumer base, leader in IT, Microsoft does not have authorised repair agencies here. And discontinuing support just like that is not understood. I deeply regret buying a Microsoft product.

Anyway, will keep you posted if there’s any development.
