Xbox not playing games

Hi.. my xbox one no longer loads games properly.. they install fine , but when i try to launch the game i get the following error message

Please try again

for some reason "game name" took too long to start (0x8027025a)

i have tried a full restart .. but the same issue comes up

Hey Storm!

Does this happen with every game or only some? We have a guide for that
specific error code that you can look at. Work through the steps listed, hopefully one of them does the trick. If not, you may want to try

factory resetting your console.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that though. Keep us posted!

I've been having the same issue and it's with multiple games. I've used the guide for that specific error code and it still doesn't work. Please help!

I had the latest xbox update this morning and ever since then none of my games will load up, I get the same error 'for some reason your game took too long to start'

I have tried a hard reset and nothing seems to be working, please help as at the moment my xbox one is useless

Same here and broke my watch dogs 2 gold edition. Im getting that error on several games and a hard one in WD2 with infinite loading

I agree with TNUC, sounds like a faulty DVD drive.

If your console is still under warranty, they should fix it for free.

It sounds like you are having the same problem as I had with my Elite console. Where the disc drive for whatever reason is going faulty, have you phoned customer support?

try resetting your router and modem to see if that works. If that doesn't work then try clearing your console's cache by going to settings, storage, hdd,press y button, select clear cache then restart your console. hopefully this will resolve your issue.

There are some Xbox games available through the 360 marketplace or you can purchase them on disc through a game store. It just depends on what games you're looking for.
