  1. Xbox not outputting sound! Damaged motherboard?

okay so today i opened up my xbox 360 because i was fiddling with my disk drive . The problem is when i put my 360 back together and turned it on i was only getting video and not audio, I've tried changing hdmi cables, changing hdmi ports, doing the display
discovery enable and disable thing and nothing has worked, it is not my tv because i plugged my xbox one in and the sound played perfectly through the same cord and port. anyone have any ideas what this could be?

    Cheers for any help

    :)

  2. Xbox headset not outputting sound.

Hello. Suddenly I have been having trouble with my Turtle Beach Recon 50x gaming headset And I was wondering if you could help. The sound comes out of my t.v. But it will not come out of my headset that I got 3 weeks ago. It was working until about an hour
ago and I'm starting to get frusturated. I hope that you respond and that you can fix this issue as I had spent a good amount of money on the headset. Thank you.

    Need help outputting sound!

So, I was recently given an old Bose set with 2 speakers and acoustimass module. Its a little outdated, but it sounds a lot better than my TV. I use an HDMI chord to go from my XBOX to my television (Samsung). So I thought I could just plug in a red and
white component from the output in my TV to the receiver that would play the sound through the speakers. This was when I learned that my TV model doesn't have an output for some odd reason. I tried using the hd component for Xbox to plug the video into the
TV and the audio into the receiver, but the picture dropped from 1920x1080 to 760x480, a big enough difference for me to just keep the HDMI in without good sound. What could I do to solve this problem? Is there someway to use the USB ports to output the sound?
Could I use the HDMI chord solely for video and use the other component chord to play sound only? are there any ports to output sound, or could I do it wirelessly?

Xbox not outputting sound! Damaged motherboard?

You probably mucked something up when you opened it. This is why you don't open your console unless you're a certified tech. Something as small as a scratch could have damaged a part of your motherboard. You could have short it with static electricity, the
list goes on. Reset your video settings. HDMI audio out is one of the easiest things to break.

The power surge may have damaged the graphics card but not the motherboard, therefore it boots up and beeps but does not output the images to the screen

Xbox one s doesnt display (already tried all previous suggestions)

Yes, but no video output, I mean, technically, shouldnt the console not boot up if the motherboard was damaged (or other components)? I mean, in a pc if some connections are faulty or broken it shouldnt boot at all or show an error code of some sort. the only thing possible left is the connection between the intake of the hdmi and the motherboard but it doesnt seem damaged at all, seems brand new
