Xbox not loading properly

Every time I turn on my Xbox 1s it either stays on the green loading screen for around 20-30 minutes or loads but won't let me sign in, sometimes it load after 30 mins but it says "for some reason home has taken too long to start (0x8027025a)" and then
other times it loads , lets me sign in but my games won't work. I don't know what to do and could really do with some help.

Thanks. Re-downloading my profile worked.

This isn't the first time I've had to do that. Is this likely to be a reoccurring issue?

Have you tried redownloading your profile? Or have you tried a new profile even?

I would try a new local profile and see what happens. This could also be a networking issue. But try the suggestions above and see what happens.

I would recommend trying a "soft factory reset" which means you would restore the console to factory settings but select the "keep my games and apps" option to avoid lengthy installation times. The steps for this are

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One. Keep in mind that this step will remove any and all profiles (Gamertags) from the console so you will need to know your Microsoft account primary email address and password to recover your accounts.

Try doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, wait until the console turns off. Unplug the power source, wait till the power light goes off and plug it back in. Start the console normally from there

 

Will I loose any data from games

You should not

As long as you are sure of your account's sign in information and you use that, you should be good.

All of your progress is saved to your gamertag on the Xbox One.

Ok there's one problem with resetting to defaults, I can't go into settings

 

Hi, you can do a facrtory reset other than from the Xbox settings.

You will need to know your wireless network password if required and the login info for yours and any other accounts on the Xbox to complete the following so please be sure you know that information.

Power the Xbox off again.

The SYNC button is the button you'd use to sync a controller to your Xbox.

Dependant upon which Xbox One system you own the SYNC button will be located either on the left hand side of the xbox about an inch in from the front and at the same level as the disc slot ( original Xbox One) or on the front right on the black section below
and slightly to the left of the Xbox power button ( Xbox One S and Xbox One X )

With the Xbox powered off, press and hold the SYNC button and the DISC EJECT button and then press the Xbox power button once on the console, do not hold the Xbox power button. Continue holding the SYNC and DISC EJECT buttons. Shortly a troubleshooting screen
will appear you can then let go of the button.

When you have that screen up, power your Xbox controller on and using the Dpad and A select the Reset Console option and then the option to keep games & apps.

After the reset you will need to add your account/s back to the Xbox, when doing this make sure you DO NOT select the option to Get a new account as this will create a whole new account and you will have all sorts of problems.

If you are unable to pull up the troubleshoot screen in this Guide
Need help with system updates Select offline update. Step 3 is getting the troubleshoot menu up Step 6 is getting the update from the website using a windows 10 pc and a usb drive. If unable to do from troubleshoot menu try the offline update.
