Xbox not loading past start up screen

I went to play my xbox today and when I turned it on it did the normal loading screen so there is the logo sitting on the screen then freezes and doesn't move past this point. I have tried unplugging everything, turning off my internet, going through the
screen freeze trouble shoot, looking up what might be wrong, etc. but nothing seems to be working. I was playing it yesterday just fine and didn't have any issues with it. From what I have seen people seem to be thinking that it is a hard drive problem? I
don't think my warranty is any good anymore (I have to find it to check) so I really don't want to send it in if I don't have to, but I don't have the type of hard drive that can be removed without busting into the xbox which I don't really want to do if I
don't have to. Is there anything that I can do to fix it or is it just repairing it/taking out the hard drive? I am assuming that this will make me lose all of my saved game data right...? I am very unimpressed with this right now, my console isn't that old,
maybe 2 1/2- 3 years, it shouldn't be having problems. Any help would be appreciated

Xbox 360 freezes when Connecting to Xbox Live

my Xbox wont le me get past the grey loading screen. and when i disconnect the wifi and start the xbox back up, it does the splash logo and freezes on a black screen

 

Forza Motosport 7 Bug after April update

When I start the game, it doesn’t get past the loading screen. It’s stuck on the black screen with sound in the back.

 

New development, it has allowed me finally to get into the dashboard but says that I need to do an update for 190 MBs before it will let me get on xbox live etc. is this due to my hard drive being dead? I haven't touched it at all. If I get a larger external
hard drive type thing will it make it work?

 

hi...if you have not done so already...please don't do any work on your Xbox ...to do so will cancel your warranty...have you tried clearing out your cache?...and do you know how?

im having same problem . wont load up on disc just gets stuck in loading mode . I then got gold membership still happening . I tried down loading free game w x box gold it down loads fine when you push to play it freezes
