    Xbox not displaying properly


    I have recently bought a new Xbox One S console and often when I turn it on it the display will be 480p and centred on the the middle of my TV. Going into the settings doesn't allow a change as it thinks the TV is not a 16:9 HD TV. Resetting the Xbox by
    holding in the power button fixes the problem but it re-occurs shortly after.

    Xbox Slim randomly reverts to 480p on startup

    It sounds like it may be the Display Discovery setting that's doing this. If the TV isn't transmitting that settings properly it could then cause the Xbox to revert to default. Try the following:

    Go to Settings tab, select System and select Console Settings

    Select Display then Display Discovery

    Select Disable

    If you continue to have nothing displayed after a full reset doible check to make sure your display is working properly and that the appropriate resolutions are being utilized between the console and your display.
