XBox not displaying on Vizio 1080p HD TV

Try doing this

set Display Discovery to Disable & HDTV settings to 1080p

See if that gets your TV into 3D mode with the xbox connected.

Hi, did you try resetting the display settings on the Xbox at all ?

With the Xbox powered off press and hold the large button in the centre of the controller, as soon as you hear the Xbox kicking into life let go of that button and press and hold Y and the Right Trigger, keep both buttons held, the Xbox should restart and
the display settings will be reset.

IMO its worth ugrading the tv. I never realized how bad my old 1080I Sony tv looked until getting my new 1080p Vizio. Even the 1080I cable tv feed displays better.

I had to same problem with my vizio. When you hit the info button on the vizio remote while using the XBOX 360 it says 1920x1080. Although it is HD quality, the XBOX 360 does not put out true 1080pHD. When you hit the info button on the vizio remote while
using the Playstation 3 it says 1080pHD. That is the signal you want to sent to the TV being it is true 1080pHD. The only way to play 3D XBOX on your vizio is to go to your system settings on your XBOX and change your display settings to 720p. Your vizio
will now recognize the HD signal and say 720p when you hit the info button. BOOM 3D XBOX! You have to change your 3D setting on your vizio remote to side by side and you are ready for Gears 3 and others. If the game tells you you have to change the setting
to 1080p to play 3D (Crysis 1), you are out of luck. Hope this helps.

Do you guys put this much effort into changing every product manufactured? You want a 42" LED TV. There's 3 brands. Sony, Vizio, & Samsung. The Sony & Samsung are 1080P, but the Vizio is 720P. You own a Vizio now, so you'd like to stick with Vizio, but want
1080P. Do you complain to Vizio to change their already in pre production tv to 1080P, or do you buy the alternate solution that already meets your standards?
