    Xbox not connecting to display


    My Xbox is turning on but it doesn’t display anything. I have used 4 HDMI cords, 3 TVs and a monitor, but still nothing. I checked to see if the pins were out of place but everything looks fine. It started after I left my console auto turn off while I
    was doing homework and it just hasn’t connected back up to a tv. No repair shop is olen where i live.

    Hi, if you connect the xbox to the tv that is does show a display on, then go to settings/console settings/display and disable display discovery. Then connect the xbox to the tv you are getting no display on do you then get a display at all ?

    Connecting an Xbox One S to a laptop.

    The HDMI connection on a laptop is usually an HDMI out connection, meaning it can connect to another display, but not become another display.

    The only way you could use the laptop as a display for your Xbox, is to stream the game from your Xbox, by using the Xbox Console Companion app on your laptop.
