    I’m trying to connect to the WIFI and when I run a network test it always says “all good - you’re connected to the internet”, but when I leave the screen and check, I’m offline. I’ve tried this with a wired and a wireless connection - I usually use wired -. My NAT type is open too. I’ve tried every solution; resetting my Xbox, hard restart, unplugging the chords, restarting router, clearing cache etc. multiple times, yet tutorials and guides keep saying the same things that don’t work for me, it’s driving me nuts.

    I’ve tried connecting my Xbox to my phone’s hotspot and that works fine, but not the other two wired and wireless networks -there is nothing wrong with the networks too, I can confirm-. Can someone please help me as this has persisted for days now. Thanks.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware.

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    ok so I reset my xbox and I also restarted the router by holding the red button down for three seconds, it connected after awhile of fighting with it (by that I mean going thru a process of trying to sign in but to no avail) I will try this now, thanks for the support

    Hope you are well. I'll be glad to assist you.

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

    Please try to test connecting your console to another network and check if the same problem occurs, you could configure your smartphone as a Mobile Hotspot and connect your console to that network.

    Let me know if the behavior is the same.

    Can't connect to live

    If you run a connection test on the xbox (it will say test connection underneath where it says you cannot connect to xbox live) then you can see where its failing to connect
