Xbox not auto updating, and signing account out?

our settings have been changed to allow updates even when the xbox is off.

unchecked the storage when xbox is off.

checked the keep my games and apps up to date.

and its on instant power on.

when we turn the xbox on the account is signed out and sometimes says 'oops its taking too long' so we have to hard reset. tried deleting and redownloading the account/gamertag.

nothings working. we dont want to be sat here waiting for a 25gb update, when we expect it and have settings for it to auto update before hand.

theres no xbox system update, everythings up to date.

any ideas on how to fix this?

First things first to narrow down this whole issue down, we suggest a reset of the console since
the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a

Soft Factory Reset (while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

There is a stable network connection.
The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

Turns out the issue was that I was signed in to another Xbox. The update must have changed the auto-sign out functionality that always happened before. Once I signed out of the other Xbox I was able to sign in without problems. Didn't have to remove my
account.

Xbox support told me to factory reset xbox one. I did that and it fixed the issue temporary. The very next morning I got back on and the dashboard did not load and all the pages were grey. I changed my sign in from auto sign in off and then restarted my
xbox and that fixed it. So if you are auto signed in when the xbox turns on then it wont load. So turn off auto sign on. Just sign in yourself once your box is on. Talked to support again and informed them, she stated its seem to be a glitch in the new update
hopefully they will send out another update to fix it.
