    Xbox - No signal when plugged in with hdmi


    Hi all.

    No signal when hdmi plugged into output on the console.

    things i have done:

    • Tried a brand new hdmi cable
    • tried a brand new hdmi cable for 4k
    • when fully powered off - holidng the eject button and power button for 20 secs to boot low res mode (still no signal)
    • when fully powered off - holding the sync and eject button then pressing power button to load troubleshooting boot - still no signal
    • cleaned the console of its horrible dust
    • Checked the HDMI port - not damaged or loose

    Xbox One - FAQ

    If it outputs an HDMI signal, you can plug it in to the HDMI input on the Xbox One and it will work.

    There are two HDMI ports on your Xbox one i made the same mistake and plugged the cable into the wrong one and had no signal and when i picked up the console i realized that it said HDMI in try plugging it into the port thats labeled HDMI out to TV

    So just to summarize, the HDMI cable works when the AV cable is not plugged in, but when it is I get no signal.

    Hey!

    I tried using different HD cables on each TV and the error still occurs, I also tried different HDMI ports on the back and it still came up with no signal but what I did realise is that when the HD cable is not plugged in the screen says 'Check signal cable'
    and when I plug it back in it says 'No signal' so it must be recognizing that it's getting plugged in but the screen does not show up.
