Xbox no longer working after update! Please help.

Hi guys, so the other day I downloaded the new update.. only after completing the first stage, upon the system reboot, the xbox crashed! I left it for a couple of hours but there was only a black screen. Now when I turn it on, the front white light comes
on but that's about it - the controller no longer connects, I have a black screen, it doesn't even sound like the console is powering up fully. I have no idea what to do and cannot even access the troubleshoot menu by holding down the 3 buttons. I'm worried
it's completely broken, but feel a little hard done by as this was 100% not my fault. If anyone could give me any advice, I'd appreciate it sooooooo much! Thanks.

TODAYS UPDATE WTH

So my xbox updates today and after the update finshes my avatar and my gamer points no longer show up...Can someone please help me..furstrated

Xbox one controller stop working after update from Xbox accessories app, I'm using wireless adapter for windows ,please help.

 

Hey there lets leave the console on for a hour uninterrupted. Please also make sure that the console doesn't auto turn off due to inactivity because it will do that still.

If it still doesn't work turn the console on then hold the power button on the system for 8 seconds until power off then unplug it (Power, HDMI etc) for 5 minutes then plug it back in boot up the system and see if it made any changes.

If it works be sure to remove any external HDD's while updating the system as it isn't good to have them connected.

 

Exactly my problem i cannot even access the troubleshoot menu by holding down the 3 buttons... It's totally dead. (Sometimes it try to start but it stuck in the green screen and after some time it become black, but most of the time just black screen/no signal),

Similar thing happened to me and I posted this after speaking b to Xbox support

So I received the update or go offline screen around Monday. I accepted the mandatory update and it failed. The system will not turn on. I have unplugged everything and followed all knowledge base articles but nothing works. update clearly killed my
systems and MS's answer is for me the consumer who had no choice but to update to now pay$135 for repair because it is out of warranty.

i have been an Xbox customer since Halo 1 and on XBL for 12-13 years. I bought 360 and One at launch. I been through red ring of death and replacement of my launch One due to disc drive problems. As a loyal customer, MS wants to screw the consumer when
both it and Sony have faced lawsuits over mandatory updates on several occasions over past 10 years. I post this because other consumers should post and MS should listen.

I've tried everything but I think there is no saving it now. I'm feeling totally frustrated too as I have also been told i'd have to fit the bill for the repair as my console is out of warranty! Even though this was not my fault at all and I've also been
loyal to the xbox for 10+ years. Seems like loyalty means nothing!

 

I have the same problem, takes ages for the TV to receive a signal and when it does, the green screen and logo pop up for about a minute then it goes to the home screen.

Sorry to hear about the issue. I would recommend attempting the
Offline System Update to see if that helps your Xbox One console start up. If that doesn't help, unfortunately your Xbox One may be in need of repairs. That process can be initiated via the
Online Service Center.

Doesn't help though if the system won't turn on as is my problem and others. Also doesn't help that MS wants re consumer to pay for something the mandatory software update caused.
