xbox no controller no longer recognising wired headset

I have read multiple threads but no-one has given a satisfactory answer.

On Thursday two controllers wtking fine with headset, Friday not. One very upset child thinking it’s his fault.

I’ve reset console, reset controllers, purchased new headset all to no avail. I know headsets both work on other devices. (turtle beach recon 50x in case it makes a difference)

What update have you pushed to my console to stop it recignising third party head sets?

When will you roll it back? or fix it?

What refund of the xbox live sibscription will you give me for leaving my son unable to play with his friends?

Hello, I am Gage, I will attempt to assist your problem!

As per other replies, I notice you've tried everything. Try Contacting
Turtle Beach Support. As you mentioned, you've attempted on other devices to which these work. Try blowing into the controller(s) microphone jack in case of lint. Are your audio settings set to play through headphones not HDMI or Speakers.

It could be that you just need to buy a new headset.

Have you tried another controller? That would be a way to tell if it is a problem with the controller. Does the headset still work on other devices?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

You could also try the adapter on the controller.

Don't expect any kind of refunds for the Gold subscriptions.
