    Coming to Xbone from 360, I think we can all agree that we've lost some old friends along the way.

    I suggest that Xbox has an update where we can give people on our friends list "Nicknames" so that we'll always remember their name, regardless if they change it.

    For example: your looking for your friend XxXp0w3rM0ng3rXxX, well turns out he changed his name to DaSweetPickle8.

    Totally different, except you get a notification saying that your friend has changed his name, but thankfully for the nickname, you won't forget who they are

    There are a good few features we have lost from the 360 to the Xbox, you are correct in this! The nickname feature was great exactly for the reasons you said.

    Hello if it was forced changed that mean it broke a Xbox rule. Check here to find out more about forced name changes. You would indeed have to pay $10 if you want to change your name. https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US
