    Xbox networking errors

    Hi,

For the past 3 months i have been trying to fix the networking on my Xbox 360. It is the original Xbox 360, and i currently use a wireless network adapter to connect to live. My xbox would connect to live no problem, but one weekend, i took it over to a
friend's house to play for the weekend, and i brought it back and the live will connect occasionally but it is extremely rare, and when it connects there is 2500 latency and 3% packet loss. I have tried 2 different network adapters (both assured
to work) but no avail. I have called support 6-8 times, and they walked me through the same process every time with no avail. One person was extremely rude to me as well. I digress, i get an IP error every time i try to connect. The box that pops up reads
"There's a problem with your connection. Let's try and fix it. (null)" when i click show suggestions, it shows an IP error with 6 different suggestions. i have tried ALL 6 suggestions but nothing worked. i have also connected through live with an ethernet
cord directly from my router, and that worked perfectly. But i need to fix my wireless connection as the ethernet cord is not a possible permanent solution for me. i would appreciate all and any responses to help fix this cause. Thanks in advance!

    John

    :)

    Hey there The Hubka!

It indeed seems like there's something going on with your wireless connection.

Could you please answer the following questions? This will give us an overview of your network layout.

What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Modem brand & model number:

    Router brand & model number:

How many consoles do you have connected to this router?

Wired or wireless (for each console):

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    Y:

    Z:

    ID:

    L:

    Q:

Hey Brosky aP, unfortunately, that solution did not work for me. I've tried it numerous times but still not avail. Any other solutions that you could possibly suggest? Thanks!

    Hey The Hubka!

    Sorry for the delayed response.

It seems like your wireless connection might be blocked or interrupted by other signals. Make sure that the wireless signal has a clear path and that no other signals (like microwaves etc.) are interrupting it.

You could also try changing the wireless channel. You can find more information on how to do this for your modem here.

We'll be waiting for you to post back =)

    Greetings!

Additional to Brosky aP's suggestion, to experiment with the radio frequency that your wireless router broadcast, can you also tell us which security type (WEP/WPA/WPA2) you are using for your wireless network. And, or if, you've setup WPS (Wi-Fi Protected
    Setup) on your router.

    TIA!

If i did not mention before, i may have forgotten to say, i have another xbox 360 that sits right next to mine and connects to xbox live with no problem. It's my step brothers and he plays every day with no problem whatsoever. I also forgot to mention that
whenever i am able to get a stable connection, as in my download speed and upload and whatever is up to par to be able to play multiplayer games, as SOON as i start playing multiplayer games (ie Call of Duty) my connection goes very bad again.

    Xbox networking errors

I tried my third attempt to download my profile and it worked then froze for about 5 mins then downloaded it and when I'm signing in and it just keeps the ring spinning. But its doing nothing so i just left it for a while and went to play the WiiU and it's
still spinning its not froze it just won't move. Then it says Console can't connect to Xbox Live. Then asking to do a test. Error Code 80151911. So I decide to do this *Xbox Live Connection Test* and it wouldn't load so I dashboarded and when clicking *Xbox
Home* it froze. Then after 2mins it went to a losing screen and it never showed the dashboard it showed the Internet screen and it stayed *Disconnected from Xbox Live* as soon as it loaded up. So I test my Xbox live connection PS: I have an Xbox 360 E so its
new. And the test results were. Xbox 360 - MyHub Good - Internet Good - Xbox Live Good . so all connected but i still can't sign in . What's going on Xbox networking errors

I'm still experiencing bad freezing and I'm not pre-paired to buy a new Xbox or get this repaired. So I tried to sign in *again* but nope still same error code 80151911 and the test worked so idk whats wrong. As I'm a *HUGE* Call of Duty player and I have
all my prestiges on the account I'm real angry. But I can understand its one of these things that just happen.

I decide to re-sign in and I got same error code and i do another test. Everything was working apart from *MatchMacking* which in was aware of in COD:AW. So I'm not sure what to do text so plz help *MicroSoft\Xbox*
