Xbox network says "You are not connected to internet" eventhough i am (windows 11)

We understand that you're having trouble signing in to the Xbox app on your PC. Let's see if we can get this issue resolved for you.



First, let's make sure that your PC is connected to the internet. Please check your network connection and ensure that you are connected to a stable network.



If you are connected to the internet and still experiencing the issue, please try the following steps:



1. Reset the Xbox app. Here's how to do it:

- Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.

- Click on Apps.
- Select Apps and features

- Scroll down and click on Xbox.

- Click on Advanced options.

- Click on Terminate, Repair and Reset.

2. Disable any Anti virus or Anti malware because it might be blocking the Xbox app.

3. Check the Xbox service: To check that, follow the steps below:
- Go to Start menu on your Windows
- Search services then run the services
- Once you able to pull up the Services look for these follow services: xbox live auth manager, xbox live networking service, apps xbox game monitoring, xbox live game save
- Once you found it right click> select properties > set the Startup Type to automatically

Exactly same problem.can't play any games and can't connect to internet eventhough console saying that I'm connected.sheffiled,UK

Hi Geri,

I’ve done all of these and streaming works just fine on this device and in the Xbox PC app when on an internet network outside of my house, just not while connected to the same network as the Xbox (in my house).

The issue is Windows 11 blocking this connection somehow, do you have suggestions on changes I need to make on Windows II to get this to work?

Would you please test your connection to the Xbox Live servers?

If on Windows 10, go to Start > Search and click on Xbox network. It will open a window and will test your network connection with the Xbox servers. Please tell me if it shows open NAT and connected to server or if you receive any error.

If on Windows 11, open the Xbox Console Companion app, click on Settings (the gear icon) > Network.

Let me know about your internet connection test results.
