  1. XBox Network captures out of sync

    Hello!

I recently hit my XBox Network storage limit for my captures, so I went through a deleted a bunch of old ones. Ever since then, a large portion of NOT deleted old captures are not showing up in the XBox App. On my XBox, they appear as being "on the network", and attempting to upload them doesn't work because, well. They're on the network. New captures are working as expected. What's going on here? I would really rather not have to delete all those captures that are supposedly already on the network to manually re-upload them. There's hundreds and no bulk upload.

    Steps I've taken:

    - Restarted the XBox Series X

    - Updated the XBox iOS App

    - Signed out of the app and signed back in

    :)

XBox Network captures out of sync

Hello AustralianSpy,my name is Oskayra, I will be happy to help you in any way possible.

I am very sorry for the problem you are experiencing, you can delete, move and mass manage where you save your captures on your Xbox console. To do this, press the Xbox button and go to My games & apps > See all > Apps > Captures.

I hope the information is helpful to you, if not, let me know that I will be happy to continue helping you, good luck and happy day.

    Sincerely,
    Oskaira.

Where I can find Skyrim Screenshots using the Gamepass? I can't find the game file...

You need to use the Xbox Companion App or the Xbox App (mobile) to access your captures.

Optionally you can use the Windows + G shortcut > Capture > See all my captures.

You can find any captures done locally on that PC that are not sync to the Xbox Network.

    Xbox captures are completely broken?

On your console Home Guide menu select Capture & share > Recent captures >Show all >Manage captures

That will show you your captures you have uploaded to the Xbox network. You can change this to captures on this console to show those captures.

If you change the look on screen to small icons (press 4 squares) you will have other options as well as a delete choice.

Looking at this screen outlay, on console captures will inform you if they have been uploaded to the Xbox network or not.

Captures on the console that have been uploaded to the xbox network can be deleted from the console if you want. Be aware that there is a finite available space on the console for captures that fills up very quickly if you make a lot of clips and/or screenshots.

Uploaded Captures on the xbox network can also be deleted.

I use the sort option and delete captures regularly from both my console and Xbox network to keep my captures manageable.

Are game captures on the Xbox Network ALSO saved to the console’s internal storage?

"do captures save to the console’s internal storage regardless of whether or not they’re uploaded to the Xbox Network?"

All captures are initially stored on the console before they can be uploaded to the Xbox Network.

Only the captures you choose to be uploaded will be unless you choose automatic uploads in your Settings options.

Only uploaded captures (ie on the Xbox network) can be shared to your profile, clubs, etc.

There is a finite space for captures on the console so if space is all used up any further captures will overwrite the oldest captures.

Its possible to have a copy of a capture on the console as well as on the Xbox network but this limits your consoles storage for new captures. After uploading it's best to delete the console copy.

    Game Captures

There's also two separate areas if you look close enough in your captures area. There should be an "On Xbox Live" drop down tab for all captures uploaded to Xbox Live and something along the lines of a "On this Xbox," often times captures can get made and
not uploaded after their taken. So be sure to check that out.

Also, by signing up for the website TrueAchievements... after it syncs with your profile for the first time it can actually pull all the captures on your Xbox 'off' in a sense and will show them on your profile on there. This occasionally helps with securing
    'missing' captures.
