Xbox Network captures not uploading to OneDrive

I've gone through the process of uploading about 1,000 captures from Xbox Network on my Xbox Series X to OneDrive. About 100 show up and the rest don't, but on my xbox it always says the process was complete.

How do I upload all of them from Xbox Network to OneDrive so I can download them all at once and back them up on my PC?

    :)

How do I upload my old captures to my OneDrive

Hi, Zack. I’m Arturo, and I’ll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

Captures on the Xbox network are the ones that will be deleted after 90 days once January 2024 arrives.

You can upload the captures on the Xbox network by opening the clip > press A on the share button > press A once you highlight the OneDrive option.

Another way to upload the captures to OneDrive is highlight your capture > highlight “upload to OneDrive” > Press A.

    Screen captures gone forever?

You can upload them to OneDrive. You can upload a single screenshot to OneDrive using the share option, or if you go into the Captures app and click on "Manage", you can select a bunch of screenshots and upload them to OneDrive all at once. You get 5GB of free space with OneDrive, which is only half as much as you get with the Xbox Network currently, but that's still ample space to store loads of captures and unlike the Xbox Network storage space, you can pay to expand it if you want/need more.

Also, since the system update released on September 27th, you have the option of having your captures automatically upload to both the Xbox Network and/or OneDrive, so you can have new screenshots upload to OneDrive automatically if you like.

Once they are uploaded to OneDrive, you can access them from any your PC (in the OneDrive - Photos - Xbox Screenshots folder), from your phone (via the OneDrive app), or via any web browser by signing in at onedrive.live.com.

Another alternative is to use a USB stick to transfer them over to your PC. Connect a USB stick to the console, launch the Captures app, click on "Manage", select the captures you want to copy over, then click the "Copy to external storage" button.

    Downloading Xbox screenshots to pc

You can use OneDrive. You get 5GB of storage for free.

In the capture settings on the console, you can set it so that captures are automatically uploaded to OneDrive if you like. You can also manually upload multiple captures to OneDrive at once via the Captures app. Also, you can upload an individual capture to OneDrive via the Share menu.

Once uploaded, screenshots will appear in the Pictures\Xbox Screenshots folder inside your OneDrive folder, and videos will appear in Videos\Xbox Game DVR.

Xbox Network captures not uploading to OneDrive

Hi Thready! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

You should upload let's say 100 and then back them, then upload another 100 and then back up, until you complete the 1000

As the amount of clips that you can upload will depend on the space available on your one drive and also if you try to upload too many at the same time, some could fail and you won't notice

How do I get my expired captures back?

Unfortunately captures are automatically deleted from the Xbox network after 90 days now. You could try opening the Captures app and selecting "On this Xbox console" from the drop-down list at the upper-left, as clips are not automatically deleted from the console itself after 90 days, although they do get deleted from there over time as you capture new clips and screenshots. It's worth checking though.

What I do is set the console to automatically upload my captures to both the Xbox network and OneDrive, as they are not automatically deleted from OneDrive and it makes it easy to save any ones that I want to keep on my PC. Unfortunately, you can't share clips uploaded to OneDrive on your profile or via an Xbox message, which is why I upload to both.

But yeah, if your missing clips are not on the console itself and you only uploaded them to the Xbox network, they are gone for good I'm afraid.
