Xbox needs to be disconnected than reconnected before XBL will work

Every single time I turn my xbox on i need to disconnect it from the router. Reconnect it than test my connection in order for my xbox to get on live. It never did that for my older xbox. When I turn it on i get a test connection notification and have to
disconnect.

Whats going on? How can I fix this? I have a Verizon D-Link DSL-2750B Board

is anyone else having problems with the market place.

I think that microsoft may be doing preperation work for the new update that is due soon. I myself have had a little bother with being taken out of parties and then being put back in again, also trouble with friends avatars disappearing
then reappearing and being disconnected from xbl then reconnected again! Its very annoying!!

one other thing I will say about my setup , people who come over and don't even think they have problems and that theirs works fine cant believe when they see how fast getting into a MP game is on mine , Halo or starwars , black opp III , matchmaking is
FAR superior , they are like "mine will start a match , then cancel , then restart , then people drop out " stuff like that... and my internet isn't that great 15 down 1.5 up ...

I am sorry to hear about the connection issues. When you test your connection what notification do you see and have you tried to reset your modem?
