Xbox needs hard reset every time i turn it on

every time I turn my Xbox 1s on I need to do a hard reset (hold the power button down then unplug from the wall) in order to do anything on it... the controller still connects etc but nothing on my Xbox loads, doesn't update my online friend's list etc.
Is this a hardware issue or just something wrong in settings etc?

Hard Reboot Required Every Day

Every time I turn on my Xbox One, I have to do a hard reset (holding the power button for ~10secs) for it to work. The Xbox will turn on if I don't do a hard reset, but none of the controllers can connect, the Kinect doesn't turn on, and voice commands don't
work. After the hard reset, everything works until i turn the Xbox off. Any ideas on whats wrong?

 

June 22nd Update made zombies UNPLAYABLE!

Found a fix. Hard reset the xbox.

i knew the xbox needed to be hard reset every week or so, but i didnt know that hard resets would also clean up updates.

(Hold the power button for 10 seconds, unplug the xbox, plug it back in, turn it back on.)

 

Remove your profile from the console Using the steps here:

Then sign back in and see if your able to use Xbox Live Gold features.

Thanks for reaching out! We understand it is frustrating since the Xbox One S needs a hard power cycle every time
it starts up. I would suggest trying a
Soft Factory
Reset. Generally when this happens, it could be the operating system is having some technical difficulties.



Side Note:
It is
very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
it from the console.



To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;
in middle column at the top it will say "show on home"
if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.



If the soft reset does not work then you would need to try a Full factory reset which would return the settings to factory default. It would remove the profile and games that are
installed, etc.

Never mind, unplugged it and tried again and its working now
