Xbox Music wont add all music

Downloaded an album on iTunes. It shows up in my monitored folder, it plays in Windows Media Player with all the correct information about band and album. When I try to play it in Xbox Music, first off it does not show up in collection there, then when
I say open the file it plays but does not have any information about the song???

Xbox Music won't detect the .mp3's I have in the "My Music" Folder?

I recently downloaded the soundtrack of one of my favorite web series here: That's a 404 :(. I can play the music
just fine, but I cannot get Xbox Music to detect it and add it to the My Music tab. I've already tried this solution: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/music-and-video/music/how-to-add-music,
but to no avail. Is there anyway I can get Xbox Music to detect the music in the "My Music" Folder, so I can add it to an Xbox Music playlist?

 

XBOX music and NAS

Hi,

I keep all my music on a NAS and not my laptop. With zune I could add the NAS network drive to allow me to add music to playlists. With XBOX Music it seems that the music has to be local and cannot image to the NAS. Am i missing something. I have to
add my music using Windows Media Center. Is there something I am mising?

I am surprised you can get iTunes downloaded music albums working on the Xbox I always assumed there would be some licencing issue restrictions on how the music can be played. Oh well you learn something new every day. Are you playing it from a connected
iPod, iPhone, iPad? I am no expert but maybe the information does not show correctly due to a different system setting that Apple uses but Microsoft doesn't use.

 

Itunes is indeed the issue.

 

Certainly it is just about the money. Unfortunately, with the change in service announced on Halloween, they are trying to hammer the last nail in their own coffin.

The xbox music app already is lame compared to many free apps, and to start charging for it is utterly insane.

Having this same issue with my xbox music too. Before I could just sort the problem out by ticking/unticking a few tickboxes in advanced settings, but that's stopped working for some reason as of late.
