Xbox Music will no longer offer free streaming

according to this news : Xbox Music will no longer offer free streaming, but does anyone care? | On MSFT

Xbox Music will stop being free on December 1st.

It's sad, because I just discovered that it was free a couple of weeks ago, but it seem that I will stay on Itunes

So where's the free music ?

I don't think there is any free music service. There in Xbox Music which requires a subscription but I think they might offer a short free trail (if you have not already tried the service).

Free streaming? there is no free streaming at all on the 360 Xbox Music? feel free to correct me but i see nothing?

Also none of this is new its Zune with a name change, i figured they would have tried a different approach but Nah! lets just change the name a pretend its new is the approach they apparently went for.

 

Never use Xbox Music. I can just stream my Amazon mp3 collection through the console browser.

On the website, you can listen every song you want for free, but if you want to download them, you have to pay. After December 1st, you will not be able to listen for free, but only download for $9.99 per month...

I've never found a song I wanted to listen to that I couldn't find on YouTube. Nor a track I wanted to buy on Amazon.

I know that sounds like I'm just arguing for the sake of it but the service could never compete against what else is out there.

 

Call me old school, but if I find a song I want, I buy the cd.

 

I buy a cd to save money, but 8 tracks are the only music for me

 

I know you're joking, but in reality I do actually prefer vinyl over cd's. I hate digital downloads of anything, it's like paying for smoke.
