Xbox Music - very odd issue...

Hi,

Wondering if you can help, my niece has a 2nd hand Xbox 360 with her own profile and gamertag assigned, but she is being charged for Xbox Music on another person's account?

When you look in the billing profile for Xbox Music it is a totally different account (email address etc) to the one my niece uses. She can't unlink the offending account as it requires the password (which she doesn't have as the account is not hers)

Any idea on what could have caused this and how to resolve it? I'm thinking a full on factory reset of the 360, obviously she will need to back saves up before doing this - but would this then solve the problem with the Xbox Music account?

Very odd issue

I am using a Lynksis wrt160n v3 router and have it port forwarded to give myself an open NAT. With an open NAT, I find my connection is 10x better for all multi-player games that I play, but at the same time, I can only connect to 1/4 people on my friends
list.

Now if I undo my port forwarding, I have terrible connection and a moderate NAT but I can connect to 100% of my friends list.

I am really stumped on what to do here as every guide I've read does not have a solution to this problem.

If it is set up on a different gamertag, then how is her gamertag getting billed for it? Each gamertag should have its own individual billing information.

If you're seeing a unknown IP address on your router and all of your devices are accounted for then someone has piggybacked onto your wifi and is using your bandwidth.

Go into your routers admin page and see if it will allow devices via a MAC address.

This will ensure that devices you know have access to your network get it and that other IP will go away.

The foreign IP is not a regular IP address, and I already traced it to LA California. This happened when we tried to add a 5th wireless device to a router that only supports 4...now it only works with my Wii.

I'm guessing that it is an error from forgetting to pull off one device before adding the other....I can't see a person from CA piggybacking my wifi from Ohio.

I just want my x-box back online asap.....I was wrong when I said we already did what NoHaxs suggested...we only reset the wep keys. I'm gonna try the wpa before requesting an IP reset.

This has me completely stumped, it makes no sense that the Wii is able to get on wifi, but my tablet and x-box refuses it......
