[Xbox Music] Tracks not appearing in various albums

This is happening to me as well. I was streaming albums last night without issue, and now today albums are missing random tracks like you say. I can only imagine it's a problem with their end since usually if a track won't stream due to licensing there's
a notification next to it stating you have to buy this before you can stream it. However, I'm finding most every album I search missing random songs.

It's apparently a known issue by MS. Here's a chat someone posted online yesterday:

At least they're aware of it. And do they really say "mission control" at MS?

I have discovered the root of the problem: Xbox Music matches albums with the identical album, but with a slightly different name (e.g. with different punctuation or truncated), so Xbox Music then recognizes the track as the cloud streaming file instead
of the local instance. This needs to be corrected.

Not all songs are able to be downloaded with Xbox/Zune Music Pass. I can confirm that the three tracks on the 20th Century Masters album are listed as Album Only, you would have to purchase the album in order to get all the songs.

I've noted this issue too, and I can confirm that it's not due to either download option (Music Pass downloads" and "When I add songs to my music on other devices, download them here too" were both disabled for testing).

It appears to be a problem with the music-matching service. Great example was my latest CD rip...

I used Windows Media Player to rip my copy of the Halo 4 OST (I like keeping my music collection as WMA Lossless). I noted that Xbox Music pounced on this, and created TWO albums (slightly different album name, different genre). On another Windows 8 device,
the songs that Xbox music could match (2 tracks out of 15) appeared on this playlist. Not sure why this is happening, but it's a major issue as I noticed that quite a lot of my previously ripped albums have been "duplicated"... :/
