Xbox Music - Random Play is Broken

I've recently made the decision to transition from Spotify to Xbox music. Sadly I'm finding the MS client on PC is a far cry from Spotify, and doesn't include the great functionality of the Zune client (defies logic). I hope there are plans to fix
this in the works.

My major concern with the Xbox music client is that in random play one song from each the playlist is repeatedly played every four or five songs. One song seems to be chosen each time you load the client, it will play, then three or four other tracks
will play, then that one song again, and this repeats. It doesn't take long for this repetitive playing of the same song over and over again to completely ruin the listening experience.

I've tested this on three separate PC's and multiple playlists and the behaviour is the same on all.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

i think tekken tunes is broken. i cant play my t3 music. wait for a patch.

The music also makes the game which is why it's extremely important to its original settings, replacement music sometime kind of ruins if it's totally random bs.

I play various genres of music while playing Forza 3, improves the game's enjoyability.

 

I have exactly the same problem and it's surprising not constant. Sometime it doesn't happen, and right now I can play any playlist in random, I'll have the first song repeated every four song... It's annoying as hell. So yeah, bumping this problem !

 

Hey there, Bonom Denej! From what I understand, there was an update to the Xbox Music client that should have fixed this. Please make sure that you have 2.6.+ as your current version, and this should resolve the random not being very random for you!
