Xbox Music Pass, are you kidding me?

    What a joke this is.

With no way to easily play your own music, Youtube being terrible on Xbox One and Xbox Music requiring a paid subscription, there is literally no way to play music while playing a game without having another device on to play it.

Considering Xbox 360 had Last FM, a mostly free, better version of what Xbox Music is, I find it insulting that Xbox One has only one Music App that requires payment on top of what I'm already paying for Xbox Live.

    :)

"Add to my music" doesn't work for full albums - Windows RT

    Hey there KilledByDeath,

To help us clarify the issue a little better, are you currently on a Zune Music Pass using the Xbox Music app, or are you subscribed to an Xbox Music Pass, specifically?

Let us know. For the best performance with the Xbox Music app, an Xbox Music Pass is recommended.

Hi Eyadish! What device are you trying to play music on? Have you linked that device to your Xbox Music Pass? You can refer to the following article for some more support:

Think you are being overly rhetoric with your language (I mean, seriously, how is is actually insulting??), and I challenge you to find one person on here who doesn't have another device that can push to dlna, such as a PC.

But, it's your opinion, and regardless how exaggerated I think it is, you're entitled to it I suppose.

Re: Xbox Music - it's simply a contender in the same space as a lot of other music streaming apps that charge a subscription fee such as Google Play, Sony Music, Napster, Beats Music and others. Perhaps spotify or Last Fm will develop an app for the Xbox
One in the future, although thats down to them to develop.

Finally, it's also worth noting that a lot of users have requested it on xbox.uservoice.com, and that's an area that MS has been taking a lot of suggestions for improvements on board. Hopefully MS will be able to do something in the future.

Cosmic, I find it insulting that Microsoft has completely ignored features that the 360 (and Xbox Original to some extent) had and instead provides us with a pay-wall if we want to access these features nearly a decade later.

The Next generation of gaming should not be missing features that the previous had, especially when this particular machine is intended as an "all inclusive entertainment system".

You may think that it's over exaggerated, and that's your opinion, but imagine if the next Xbox removed say, voice chat in-game, and instead offered a monthly subscription service to talk to people via an app.

I know it may seem trivial, but to some people playing with music has, for the best part of 8 years, become a habit.

And I must say, as much as I hate to admit it, playing without music has lead me to playing the games less than I usually would, as I'm instead playing games on other systems that easily allow this feature.
