  1. Xbox Music keeps asking me to sign up despite having a music pass trial

Hey everyone kinda frustrated with this.

So my zune music pass expired recently and noticed that zune's no more so need to get the xbox music pass. Problem is there isn't any software like zune anymore that lets you download music onto a Windows 7 PC. So thought i'd use a one month trial to see
how it is and the difference on my phone.

Problem is that since I got the trial pass I can't do anything on my phone. It keeps telling me to sign up (with a popup window) so I sign in again and again but when i open the xbox music app it still keeps asking me to sign up. I saw on another forum that
you need to turn off the settings for the "Xbox music cloud collection" and "connect with xbox music" reboot and turn them back on. That didn't work.

I'm fresh out of ideas guys so any suggestions welcome. If it keeps on going like this I'm going to ditch it and use Itunes and transfer tracks using the windows phone app for desktop. despite it being way less economical at least it works.

    JK

    :)

  2. How to sign up for Xbox Music Pass - Ad-Supported Version

I have been seeing advertisements for Xbox Music Pass. What I understand is being offered is a premium pay service with no advertising and more features and an ad-supported version which is Free. However, I can't see how to sign up for the free version.
I know there is a 30 Day Free Trial for the premium pay service, but I dont want to give up my CC info to do that. And when I am on Xbox Live Gold browsing the Xbox music service, all I am getting is 30 second samples of songs, not full versions. And almost
anything I am trying to listen to is asking me to sign up for the 30 Day Free Trial.

What do I need to do to sign up for the ad-supported version of XBox Music Pass?

Xbox Music for Android won't log in

I just signed up for a 30-day trial Xbox Music Pass last night, and every time I try to log-in to the app on my Galaxy Note, it pops up the message:

"This app requires Xbox Music Pass. Try it free for 30 days! Start your trial at Xbox.com"

Every time I go to "Sign in with an Xbox Music Pass" it takes me to the sign in page and loops me back to that message after 30 seconds. My Live account shows the trial is active, and it works fine with both my Surface RT and Win 8.1 PC.

I already attempted to uninstall and reinstall the app to no avail. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Not sure what your problem may be with the phone sign in. The most obvious solution might be to make sure the "master" Hotmail/live account on your Windows Phone is the same one you sign in to Xbox Music with. I had Zune Pass, then it evolved to Xbox Music.
It works exactly the same using Zune software, by the way---Windows 7 or 8. I still have a Zune HD and use it for that. No change at all. For Windows Phone 8 (I am using 8.1 now---the preview) it is a different setup, as you know. It does not sync with the
PC the same. You can copy music to your phone using the apps in Windows 8 (or 7), and you can "drag/drop" using simple file transfer. You can also use Windows Media Player, Media Monkey or any other program you like that can sync with a portable player because
in Windows Phone 8 you are no longer tied to the proprietary Zune stuff. HOWEVER----DRM is different. In fact, I've found it is different in songs downloaded using Zune software and via the Xbox Music App. Songs downloaded via Zune will appear in your music
library in WMP, Mediamonkey, etc.. Those downloaded via Xbox Music app will not. Songs transferred to your phone via Xbox Music App that are DRM songs WILL NOT PLAY on your phone. The DRM does not copy over with the track. You have to leave your phone connected
to the internet for "awhile" and allow the whole Xbox thing to bring in DRM to your phone so they will play. Stupid? I think so. No more "quick sync then go" for your Windows Phone 8. I suspect MS thought people wanted to stream on their phones, which this
system is good at. I don't think that's as common as MS thought---phones are portable and often are used where you can't or don't want to use a data plan.

Basically, your old Zune software should work fine with the new Xbox Music Pass. Some stuff was disabled (video, etc.) For music, however, it is the same as before.

By the way....you can still download the Zune software. It is still available and should be for awhile, as there are still plenty of people with Windows Phone 7 and Zune players that need it. Works fine on Windows 8, too, if you upgrade at some point. I
    use it that way.

Thanks for getting back to me guys. What ended up happening is I phoned them up and after about an hour with tech support they just gave me a free code to reregister my account with a membership and that fixed it. They explained there was no real reason
as everything was in sync. Thanks for getting back to me anyway guys Xbox Music keeps asking me to sign up despite having a music pass trial :)
