  1. XBox Music in Airplane Mode on Windows Phone

    Using XBox Music App.

I have a playlist on my Windows Phone (lumia 1020).

    I have the settings as:

Show Streaming Music In My Collection: OFF

    Use Cellular Data: OFF

    Under playlist settings:

    Keep Playlist Offline: ON

When I have the cell signal turned on, playlists play normally for the most part.

My problem is when I turn the phone on airplane mode (I do this at work, as i work in a basement, and i don't have a cell signal or when traveling on an airplane)

What happens is one song will play, and then it stops. If i go into the playlist and choose another song, it will play fine and then stop at end of song. Why won't it continue to the next song? This doesn't make much sense. Replicating things identical
with my phone cell signal turned on (airplane mode off), the playlist plays from one song to the next.

    :)

Can't connect windows phone 7 device to xbox music pass

    Hello Jogador,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Xbox Music pass, and Xbox Music are not available on Windows Phone 7 devices. Xbox Music is available on Windows 8, Windows RT tablets, Windows Phone 8, and the Xbox 360 console.

I hope that this information helps.

    Music Problems

It sure seems like MS messed up the music scenario with Win 8.

I have Zune Music Pass with the 10 song credits per month and Gold Family XBOX pass. Zune music pass worked just dandy with my old WP7 phone.

I can't for the life of me, figure out how to elegantly migrate my ripped CD's and Zune pass-purchased music on my Win8 PC hard drive to my XBOX music pass on my Nokia 920 and get it to play without a network connection (airplane mode for example or to save
my data plan) and can't figure out how to extend music access from my Family Gold Membership to my child's 920.

I have room to add devices to my Family Pass but when I try to add my son's phone (under his Windows Account which is associated with the family pass) I get an error saying that's only for the primary holder of the account - which doesn't seem right with
    a Family Pass.

I've spent hours on both devices, our Win8 PC/Surfaces/XBOX trying to figure out how to add music to our phone in a smart way but, all I can find are REALLY CRAP experiences!! Luckily Windows Media Player (Soooo 1999!!) works.

    Please help.

XBox Music in Airplane Mode on Windows Phone

Without internet connection, your phone will still be able to "Queue" requests to servers and send them at a later time. Every time you play music that is DRM-encoded (I assume you made this playlist with a Music Pass), Xbox Music requires your phone to
make some request to verify the DRM license, whether it can do this immediately, or in 30 days when it expires. In airplane mode, your phone makes no queries outside of the phone itself and as a result the service is unable to verify your license. It will
continue to skip to a song until it reaches one that is not DRM-encoded.

  5. First, thank you DrakkenSaer for your reply.

Second, just to clarify, I can not use XBOX music pass on my Windows Phone for songs I've "Downloaded", unless i have an internet connection? So, if I'm in a basement or on an airplane, I can only play songs that are not DRM-encoded? I guess I will have
to start loading my own music collection onto my phone!

Hey, no problem, I enjoy helping people out! XBox Music in Airplane Mode on Windows Phone :)

And sort of! I know I'm not the best at explaining things so I'm sorry if that was a little confusing. The basics is that it typically won't work with Airplane mode turned on, but it should work if you aren't connected to the internet (with Airplane mode
    off).

Admittedly the Xbox Music app has some room for improvement. Fortunately you are using a Windows Phone, so I have an alternative for you to try. On your phone, go to the "Music+videos" hub, then go to your collection and find the playlist you want to play
offline. Just tap and hold each song and tap "Download". Try it offline that way and see if it plays, that's worked for me in the past, I hope it works for you too!

Xbox one controller not connecting to Xbox Wireless Adapter for win10

I had the exact same problem with my XBOX ONE controller. It wouldn't pair for the life of me, but in another computer it worked. Finally realized in the taskbar of the computer that didn't work Airplane Mode was enabled. I turned off airplane mode and
now my XBOX ONE controller will pair again. I hope this helps someone else like me that had no answer for why the controller didn't work for the longest time. Such a simple thing ;)
Hi there. I was stucked with this trouble since a few weeks, and was about to buy a new adapter.

Removing airplane mode solved the situation. Thank you!

However, I don't know if a windows update defaulted the airplane mode, or if after a windows update the airplane mode is now causing the trouble with the adapter.

    Xbox One VS Liberty

What's up with the cell phone comparisons? My cell phone has an "airplane mode" that turns off all communication outside the device and I can still play fruit ninja and other games in this mode. I can have it in this mode the entire time at home. I can
leave airplane mode on for weeks and fruit ninja still works.

How long can you leave your XbOne disconnected from the Internet? 24hrs.

So...a device I can have in airplane mode the entire time at home OR turn off. Then the other device, it can't be in the equivalent of airplane mode the entire time you're at home nor can it be "turned off" because its always on. Want to turn it off? You
have to unplug the thing. Depending on the setup of your living room this could be incredibly inconvenient.
