Xbox Music error 805a0193, can stream any music

It happened to me. Same thing. I hate it.

 

I found opening Xbox Music on my Surface helped getting all my music to download again. And since my account is syncing between my Surface and Nokia 925. It started to update my collection on my phone. Also, it helped that I
deleted my phone from the managed devices for Xbox Music.

I am still having the issue of only getting 30 second preview clips of any song on the radio for my phone. It works fine on my Surface and console, but not my phone.

Xbox Music Pass Subscription active

As of 01 Aug 2014, error code 805A0193 is displayed when I attempt to stream any song from any of my playlists.

As of 01 Aug 2014, only a 30 second sample is played when I attempt to stream any song not currently added to one of my playlists.

 

I thought I was the only one. I sent a tweet to Xbox support about this error code but they haven't responded in well over 17 hours. Works fine on my desktop and consoles but my windows phone Nokia Lumia 521. Any response from they would be appreciated.

Given this has happened to so many people on the same date i think its fair to assume this is an MS server issue.... Please tweet the xbox team.

Any response here from MS? I'm paying for this service and not getting it and no acknowledgment of a problem

 

I just got done chatting with Windows Phone support through this website. And this is what I was told to do to resolve the issue.

1. Go to settings on your phone, ensure you have Backup set up for your apps, settings, photos/videos, etc.

2. Go to About for your phone and do a full reset of your phone to factory settings. Make sure to recall the MS account you use on your phone.

3. Wait for phone to reset.

4. Make sure to connect to WiFi and enter the MS Account that is associated with your Music Pass.

5. When you can access the Music App again, go in and try to stream a full song.



This work for me on my Nokia 925 the first time. Today is the first time in months I have been able to use my Music Pass. Mainly, because of issues with it on WP8 and them taking the app of the Store. Then waiting for ATT to
push the WP 8.1 update to my phone. I hope this helps everyone that is having issues.

 

From your earlier post it sounded as though your issue was slightly different as in you could download but not stream. I'm unwilling to think a hard reset is the answer as it seems server side.

 

Same problem here. Works on my computer but not on m phone - Nokia 925.

 

Still having the same issues. Getting pretty frustrated.

 

I had two WPs registered on my account under manage Xbox music devices and both have now disappeared? Has this happened to anyone else?

After reading through all of your comments and the post, you seem to be having issues playing music from Xbox Music. It also seems to be something to do with the Windows 8 phone.

I had the same issue for a couple of days (no dowloading and no streaming), just doing the backup worked for me!!

I was about to try hard resetting the phone as suggested, so I did the backup, after that i tried one last time in the music store and all was working again!

I wonder if this problem is connected to having the apps backup disabled.

 

I second turning app backup off then back on. It worked for me.

 

I didn't change anything but its working again this morning. Yay! Guessing it was fixed remotely. Woop.
