Xbox Music can't play songs in order

Swipe to collection, tap 'artists' or albums', if you tapped 'artists' then tap an artist to see the albums by that artist and tap to play an album or if you tapped albums then tap to play an album. Xbox Music will not play the songs in proper order but
randomly instead. My music is properly tagged with song numbers. I'm totally obsessive about my tagging. This is a big, big deal on many albums. Almost every Pink Floyd album for example, Alice Cooper's Zipper Catches Skin for another. Too many to list really.

This has been the case for MS built-in media player since Windows Mobile. I'm about to go nuts waiting for MS to get this tiny little simple thing right.

I can't play my downloaded song after XBOX Music Pass has ended......... do yu have a solution on this to play my downloaded songs....

 

Problem in trying to stream music, originally from Windows 8 PC, on a Xbox 360

There is two ways you can stream content on your Xbox 360.

1) You need a Xbox Music Pass, in order to stream the music THAT is only available on Xbox Music Store and Any Music that MATCHES in your playlists. Otherwise it will ignore that song.

2) Otherwise if you use File Explorer in desktop environment, Right click a song or selected songs and you should see a option "Play To" which allows play any songs from your computer and straight to your Xbox 360.(It can be DRM-based or free of it).

Never mind, it seems I'm having a senior day a few decades in advance. I had shuffle turned on. after I turned it off albums started playing in the proper order.

 

Just have a check that the "random" option hasn't been set.

When you are on the "Now Playing" screen, the top icon on the right of the album art is the random/shuffle. Just check that isn't on, otherwise it'll play the songs back in the order they appear on your track view.
