XBOX Music app plays ads when listening to locally stored Music on either Windows 8.1 or ...

Hi there,

I know I'm not the only one having this problem, but there's still no solution. I posted about it in Microsoft Windows 8 forum and was send to post it here again.

When I'm playing locally stored music via the XBox Music App on Windows 8.1 (x64 Version + RT), I sometimes hear advertisements between two songs, just if I was streaming the music. But it is stored locally on the PC I'm using to play it. The exactly same
issue is described here: Does xbox music stream music even if it is local?. The given solution is to turn off cloud syncing, which is no solution for me
as I'm (independently from this problem) using that one to stream the music to my surface 2. Another solution I found to work is to switch the displayed songs from "on this PC" (what is initially selected) to "all music" and then back to "on this PC". After
that, I don't hear any advertisements anymore. But to do so every time I'm running the music app is really annoying. So, is there any fix for this Problem?

windows phone 8 - xbox music app - not syncing xbox music playlists

ok the details:

Been using xbox music sub for 2 years, I have locally cached content that plays fine on desktop and laptop both windows 8.

windows phone music app syncs the lot.

the new xbox music app doesn't, it doesn't sync playlists and seems to lag like hell.

I have 6 playlists on xbox music (on windows 8 and they show on xbox music), they do not show on xbox music app on WP, the playlists I create on the WP app do not sync back to cloud (or windows apps).

Anyone else found this?

 

XBox Music app on Surface 2 and Windows RT 8.1

Hi, I'm sorry to post my problem on this forum, but I have not found a forum for Windows Surface (Tablet or Windows 8 Apps).

The problem is when I play music with Xbox Music app on my Surface 2 (Windows RT 8.1 fully updated), after some times, xbox music stop playing. Here the information:

• Music are on my SD Card (locally to the surface)
• The surface is on battery
• The surface is connected to wifi
• Xbox Music is open and connected to xbox music
• I play only music from my library (locally)

After some times, the surface go to sleep. After some times, xbox music stop playing and display an error. The error is 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005). I need to close the app and reopen it to start playing my music locally, but if I play streamed content not
from my library, it's play!!!! Very strange

I have test to open xbox music when the WIFI are disabled and I never have this problem. But I would not disable WIFI to play my music locally.

What is the problem ? I think that the surface in sleep mode lost wifi and when Xbox music lost connection to my account, it's stop playing. When I resume the surface, the xbox music do no reconnect, I need to close the app and reopen again.
