Xbox Music and Xbox Video changing name (bad news)

Xbox Music will be Groove Music and Xbox Video will be Movie & TV.

Why do I think it's a bad move from Microsoft?

First of all, I read that they changed name, because some people were asking "Why do I need a Xbox to have Xbox Music?", but it's not a valid reason... I can say the same thing about Groove like
"I don't listen Groove type of music, do I need Groove app?"

You never advertise Xbox Music as an Itunes alternative. Also, Xbox doesn't only mean Games, but it's more about entertainment. I saw in Windows 10 videos that the app was just called "Music" and not "Xbox Music"... It was great! Why changing something good?

Xbox Music was a fail and it will continue to fail.

That's some great idea from the users, but Xbox Music team never listened to them :

• Free to listen, but pay to download locally. It was actually available before October 2014. I don't understand why they removed that. That was a great way to compete against Itunes with 30 sec. preview. Users would like something that you
  can listen for free like before, but you need to pay a Xbox Music pass to download unlimited amount of music or pay $0.99 each song...

• Possibility to buy songs with Xbox credits/money. Why you can't purchase songs seperatly with Xbox/Microsoft credits like on ITunes?

• Clips : I don't understand why it's not available? Could be a bit more expensive than a song, but around $1.20.

Xbox Video :



Xbox Video is becoming Movie & TV. I understand Microsoft want to get rid of the Xbox brand for that, but in Movie & TV it doesn't say that I can watch my own video... It only say Movie AND TV. Calling this app only "Video" make it more global.

Something else good about Xbox Video was the integration of a second screen with Smartglass. I think it could be much better if they add the possibility to use second screen with the Bluray app with physical movie.

Can't connect windows phone 7 device to xbox music pass

Hello Jogador,



I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Xbox Music pass, and Xbox Music are not available on Windows Phone 7 devices. Xbox Music is available on Windows 8, Windows RT tablets, Windows Phone 8, and the Xbox 360 console.

New Xbox Music Videos not loading

Hi,

Great News about the new 92000 music videos that have hit xbox music. However none I have tried will load. It defaults back to the photos. The ones I have tried all have a small video camera icon so there should be a music video attached.

Anybody having this problem?
