    Does anybody know what the current state of Xbox music for the South African market is? For instance:

    Can I stream music that I already own to Xbox without having to subscribe to some service in South Africa?

    Can I buy music tracks from Xbox music and play it on my PC, WP or Xbox in South Africa?

    I had the same question. It is sad that MS is giving their SA clients a cold shoulder. The experience with the Xbox music app without the online services is very poor (Not even taking into account the duplication bug in WP8). In this regard the iPhone and
    iPad are far better options if you consider high end devices. You can buy music, rent movies etc. Not even the meta data of your music library are updated in the Xbox apps, you have to fall back to Windows media player or 3rd party software. I don't under

    Great question. While we have no specifics on if or when Xbox Music will be coming to South Africa, we are always looking to expand our services.

    I would suggest staying tune to Major Nelson's blog,
    as that is where the most up-to-date info will be announced.

    According to Techcentral "Microsoft’s full Xbox Music service will be launched in South Africa within the next eight weeks, according to the company’s SA MD, Mteto Nyati."

    That was 29 October 2012. Nothing happened. I think Mr. Nyati needs to explain himself.
