Xbox multiplayer problems

I cant play in games and start or join a party and when i test multiplayer connection it says that it cant finish multiplayer test

Most likely then. I myself can't load the game up now. I patched it this morning now its asking for another update which doesn't install.

Multiplayer problem

My mate cannot play COD online. He says he has no multiplayer option at the start screen and he can't join games. Odd, I don't know what to suggest to him. He is downloading fifa currently, so he can't try a different game, or is that the problem.

Can anyone help?

Hi Locke,

So it will not allow the account to play online or start a party and provides an error. The error points to there being an issue with the network. There is another post regarding the same issue. I will provide the link below:

Hi, first of all i recommend you checking the Xbox Live service status:

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status/xbox live

After that, if you continue experiencing problems, please check your internet speed.

You can do so by searching speedtest on your browser.

Also check that you don't have closed ports that xbox is using, if you solve this problem reply us back with the solution, thanks.

I actually have a another xbox that my brother use but the difference is i have the x and his is just the regular. His xbox works perfectly and his games too...

I play Red dead 2 online and have received the same error message, 0x50000006; it was a problem with Rockstar server.... I receive this error at least once or twice every time I log into play.. if you read the text around it it says that it's a problem
on rockstars end.. I have found it useful to reset my alternate Mac address, to do so you can navigate to settings on your Xbox dashboard then go to network settings,/ advanced settings/ alternate Mac address and then click on clear... this will restart
your Xbox and I hope it's helpful But ultimately I believe this is a rockstar server issue..

I factory reset my console and the games still donest go online...

Have you power cycled your network hardware?

Do you have a IPv6 address as well as IPv4 address?

Try using wired ethernet cable instead of wireless. You may be getting signal interference.

I understand you need help on getting good service or to resolve NAT type issues.

But if your friend is using a public Wifi, this would be very difficult to fix because they need to gain access to the router settings or admin network of the router.

Your friend can try using hotspot from mobile phone though to see if that can make a difference but still, you need a stable internet connection that is private to resolve NAT type issues.
