Xbox movies

Discus and support Xbox movies in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; the movie preview and trailer is in french although i want it in English.     MOVIES on XBOX

    hi there,

    couple simple questions:

    1. what is the latest xbox model? (is there a new one coming soon, and is worth the wait?)
    2. can i watch blu-ray movies via this xbox?
    3. can i watch normal dvd's via this xbox?
    4. if my projector is "3d", can i watch a 3d movie (in 3d!) via this xbox?
    5. can i access netflix via this xbox?

    just completing my home/media centre setup
    we plan to access movie content online (netflix or similar), or from a network drive, so i wont need a dedicated dvd player ...hence am curious if the xbox can do the job for the odd occasions that i need a disc player

    Do i need xbox live

    I'm certain that to rent movies from Xbox movies you don't need a gold account. But to use other movie rental services you do.

    Removal of movie trailers

    If you're talking about the Movie Trailers on the Xbox, they haven't gone.

    Go to the Tv & Movies tab, select Xbox Video. Once loaded, go to the Movies tab, and you'll find movie trailers there.

    Turn off narrator Xbox 360

    The narrator option is only available for Xbox one not Xbox 360. If your watching a movie via the movie app check the movie and app settings.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

    I tried allocating the xbox which has the movie on "Movie and TV" app to "my home xbox" and then trying to tie in to that home xbox "Movies and TV" from my daughters xbox (which is currently designated as "this is not my home xbox") but am not able to see
    the movie when I go into "movies and TV" from her xbox. I am sure I am doing something wrong; any help would be appreciated. (I am able to see the movie from my pc tho but doesn't help as my daughter wants to watch these movies on her xbox). Thanks again...

    If your using Xbox movie app:

    Note Unlike a movie that you buy, you must view a movie that you rent on the device you rented it for (for example, the Xbox 360 console, a computer, or a Windows Phone)

    However I know Microsoft allowes you watch rented movies via a app called Movie Anywhere. If you purchase a movie on your account and if was produce by a movie studio they team up with>>>you can watch your rented movies there. I used this app in the past

    If you're planning on renting movies through Xbox Video, here is the explanation from the Xbox Support FAQ on how movie rentals work:

    Renting movies

    When you rent a movie through Xbox Video, it's available to you for 14 days. This 14-day countdown starts when you make the purchase. When you start playing the movie, another clock starts ticking: you have a 24-hour period of time during which you can watch
    the movie as many times as you want.

    Let's say you rent a movie at 3:00 P.M. on May 1. If you start watching the movie at 8:00 P.M. on May 5, your rental period expires at 8:00 P.M. on May 6.

    Note Unlike a movie that you buy, a movie that you rent must be viewed on the device it was rented for (Xbox 360, computer, Windows Phone 7.
