Xbox movies and tv app sucks

why is this app so inconsistent? Why do I regularly open it to find that I can not watch what I payed for? I see you wasted a bunch of time and money rearranging the layout again for no reason, but your app still sucks. I want to watch the new episode of
a tv show that aired yesterday, usually you can watch shows that aired yesterday, but not today I guess...hulu updates their shows on a daily basis, hbo go has their shows available like 2 hours after they air on tv, but not xbox, xbox just has new layouts
with new menus that make doing things more difficult and less convenient. I hate your apps microsoft. Isn't it kind of like stealing to take someone's money under the guise of being able to stream the content you paid for at any time, and then make it so they
are regularly inhibited from using or watching said content? Your app sucks, your development team is focused on the wrong things. I hate your app and regret buying many things on it.

[BUG] if Movies & TV app has an update, casting fails until reboot

If the Movies & TV app has an update and you tried to do "Cast to device -> Xbox One" from Windows not only will the cast fail but the Movies & TV app cannot be opened until the system is shut
down.

Attempting to open the Movies & TV app on the xbox will simple create the icon click noise and the app fails to open.

After restarting the xbox, launching the Movies & TV app, applying the update, then casting will continue to work as normal.

This has occurred that last 3 times there has been an update to the Movies & TV app

Hi all, looking for some help. I purchased a movie trhough the Movies and tv app using mu surface pro. How can I access this movies through my xbox? I would like to download this movie to my xbox instead of surface. Also, how can I purchase movie from
movies and tv app on xbox one?

I don't recall the TV app being taken away from the Xbox 360. Can you not find it from the TV and Movies section on the dashboard where it says get Your TV App?

Yes you can watch tv shows and movies on tv and movie apps on your xbox as long as it's current or NEXT GEN not legacy consoles

Also.not all movies and shows are available

Digital movies purchased form the Microsoft store are only streamed to your console, there is no download option so you require a connection to view them.

On a Windows 10 PC you can use the Movies and TV app to download them for offline viewing.
