    My xbox one x recently died i took it to a local repair shop and they said that the motherboard was completely fried and i should contact Microsoft, are Microsoft likey to do anything as it is not under warranty but i have only had the console 2 years
    ?.

    if it's not under warranty, it will probably cost you less to buy a new one.

    You can see what options are available at the
    Microsoft Device Support page here    . They will present the available options even if it is out of warranty. There are some items they no longer support, but just because it's out of warranty doesn't mean you're out of options.
