    After recent update we can no. Longer access any old worlds on my son's account. World's are all created out with a message saying multi-player disabled. We can make new worlds. But when we click on the old worlds it says to update parental controls. I have read 100 posts and all multi-player is allowed everywhere. We never changed anything. Minecraft updated and then we couldn't use any worlds. Non of these were created outside of our home xbox with no external multi-player. We own the digital game. We do not have gamepass. I also tried hard reset.

    There is also a message about "you are playing on external storage but we do not have an external drive set up. Again. We have changed nothing before this happened.

    Ideas?

    I understand that you are experiencing issues accessing multiplayer.
    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please check parental controls once again because even if multiplayer is enabled, toggle the settings off and back on in the Xbox Family Settings. Do this using the organizer account signed in here: https://www.xbox.com/user/settings/privacy-and-... then click on your account.

    Choose the option: "In Privacy & Online Safety, click Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety."
    Scroll down to the second option from the bottom, stating “You can join multiplayer games“. Set this to Allow.
    Click Submit to save your changes.

    And then log out your account from Minecraft and then restart your device. Once it is fully on, sign in to your account and launch Minecraft.

    Next is to check storage settings because the game is incorrectly detecting external storage, to check this go to your Xbox storage settings and make sure that everything is set to internal.

    I got my Son an Xbox and Minecraft for Christmas but we do not have a HD TV does this mean he cannot play multi player at all??

    Mention not those filthy abominations here! It's a matter of opinion as to whether COD's single-player is actually "good", I mean, I enjoyed MW 1 and 2, but to compare that to an ES game...
