  2. DLC /= microtransaction. DLC doesn't encourage developer to make gameplay feel grindy and make you want to pay to skip gameplay. DLC adds on more stuff to the game and only works if you like the game enough you want to play more (meaning they have to make
the game fun to play so you want to keep playing it). As long as the main game feels like they gave you enough content for the price, I have no issue with DLC, in fact I like it when it's a game I like that they are encouraged to expand on the game.

Even the old arcades where you paid for time to play is better than microtransactions. In that case developers wanted the game to be fun so you didn't want to stop playing so you'd pay to keep playing. Microtransactions work by making you feel like you don't
want to spend time doing something over and over again so you pay to skip it. Which encourages them to make the gameplay drag and be repetitive.

Microtransactions ruin gameplay. It's not even an issue of money, it's an issue of encouraging bad game design.

It is up to the developers, not Microsoft. I although agree that if I pay $60 dollars for a game I should not have to pay $60 dollars more to make it enjoyable.

Im pretty sure Popcap added mt's for basically different skins and things. Which I don't mind at all as I think one of the devs already stated they don't want to charge for map packs for fear of splitting up the community.

  5. I have spent...drum roll please...79 pence this generation on Microtransactions, to buy one or two tokens for FM5. Now the economy update has come out, there is no need, and with Forza Rewards (rewards.forzamotorsport.net) there is even less need. Popcap
added Skin DLC, which I am fine with, they aren't charging for levels.

  6. There is no compunction to purchase any of these Micro-transactions. And Microsoft/Devs/Pubs, are not the only ones doing it.

Just look at the mobile gaming industry. EA Mobile is extremely well known for it. The give the game free and you can if you want purchase stuff. If not, play the game and take your time getting these bits.

I have plenty of FTP games and play them for the enjoyment. Never paid for a MT, But have purchased DLC in the past. DLC is an add-on.

More and more games are going this way. It is the way of things, because before a standard internet was made, the Devs/Pubs/Companies, had no way of adding extras to a game, so they just released a new version and charged for that.

  9. It is everyone, Do you think that Microsoft or Sony or anyone that puts these onto their system is getting no money for them.

It is their system, they could say, we want games this Generation without MT. DLC yes, But no MT.

They don't really bother me, but I prefer having the choice, if I want something extra I get it, if not I don't.

SO please tell me why this is MS problem. So MS owns EA and all the other. Also if people didnt buy it they wont put it in the games. just do like me and other do and just play the right way. People that buy usually have no time on there hands. Or have
    too much money.

Eventually every game will be broken into little pieces for individual purchase. Just watch.

  14. They should sell games in 5GB increments, at $5/increment - digitally (of course).

MT's are a way to make MMO's FTP rather than having a monthly fee, which several MMO's lost money and were no profit to Dev.'s or publisher.. and most were not on Xbox.. with the FTP/MT system we see the benefit, if it's an MMO.. because dev.'s will continue
    making MMO's..

TESO is a example of a MMO that will have a monthly fee. Phantasy Star Universe AOTI is one that was discontinued because it wasn't profitable. PSO2 is FTP because of MT's but hasn't been released in the US yet. I miss Phantasy Star Universe AOTI lol ..

but yes gaming has had a surge in MT's in several game's of recent release but they seem to be playable fully without any MT content being bought. I see both the benefit and drawback's and the gaming industry needs to find a good and fair balance because
    MT's aren't all bad..
