XBOX/Microsoft you need to fix these directions

The directions here are very flawed and
very unprofessional .. if you (Xbox/Microsoft) do NOT know the difference between a file and a folder (You also say file and then files (plural) and its a FOLDER you want in root directory NOT a file .. unbelievably unprofessional and
why I am moving away from Xbox Microsoft products.

Change e-mail address associated with Gamertag

If both emails have a gamertag connected you will need to use these directions:

support.xbox.com/.../error-code-80154013

If @live.nl does not have a gamertag you will use these diretions:

support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

If you do not have a 360 console you cannot swap the Live email with the ISP email.

You will need to either create a 3rd party email (yahoo/gmail/ect) and then use these directions(or use then to make a new Live email login for the account):

support.xbox.com/.../change-email-sign-in-for-microsoft-account

 

Xbox App Crashes on Windows 10 PC

This worked for me as well. It's terrible in that Xbox Live Support can't manage to fix these issues when you contact them or at least direct you in the direction that you can resolve the issue.

 

Hi, I take it you're referring to this section ?

1.Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

2.Open the Offline System Update file OSU1.

3.Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.

4.Unzip the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting Extract all from the pop-up menu.

5.Copy the $SystemUpdate file from the .zip file to your flash drive.

Note The files should be copied to the root directory, and there shouldn't be any other files on the flash drive.

6.Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.

I suppose that technically yes those two instances highlighted in yellow could be replaced with the word folder to maybe save some confusion. Well spotted.

However, due to the large number of support articles it's a small mistake and not really one that breaks anything, you may be best contacting one of the official support agents here on the forum, point out what you discovered and they can get it changed
if required.
