Xbox microphone won't work

Discus and support Xbox microphone won't work in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My son was banned on July 12.     Xbox microphone won't work


    My son was banned on July 12. His ban was lifted however, he still cannot use his microphone we don't know why?

    Sony MDR-IRBT Headphones

    Is the microphone for this headset in-line (on the actual headset cable)? I know for other headsets this means the microphone won't work for the Xbox One.

    Do you have your Kinect Microphone muted? If it's muted it won't work.

    Is the microphone for this headset in-line (on the actual headset cable)? I know for other headsets this means the microphone won't work for the Xbox One.

    Fortnite - Microphone Won't Work

    We just purchased a HyperX Cloud Stinger Core headset for our XBox One, and the microphone will NOT work in the game Fortnite. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, what was the fix? It is only happening in Fortnite.
    The microphone works fine when plugged into my phone or in XBox Party mode. The sound works in Fortnite, but not the microphone.

    I was just told by HyperX to uninstall Fortnite and reinstall it. I did that (don't worry, everything you already had stays put in the game) and just restarted it and the microphone is now working.
