  1. Xbox Mic

My mic does not work it is my forth one and people still can not hear me, I can hear them and the beeping noise from going to max volume.

not sure if this is relevant but when I start a party sometimes I can see a X where the circle should be which then disappears with the circle appearing.

I also had this problem on 360

    :)

    Hello,

I believe this is more of a network issue than an accessory issue

Could you please fill out the following info ?

What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Modem brand & model number:

    Router brand & model number:

How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?:

Wired or wireless (for each console):

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider):

  5. I live in Australia, Queensland, Brisbane, Sunnybank Hills

(not to sure but I believe) its a NETGEAR and model number is CG3100D-2BPAUS

not sure but I don't believe I have one

I have 1 360 and one xbox one connected to the modem

    both are wireless

I have used all four mics in all four controllers (for xbox one I don't really mind that my 360 mic does not work) I have started new parties, promoting new people to party leader, restarting xbox (hold down for 5 secs then unplug wait ten secs then plug
back in and turn back on), selecting choose this person while already signed in. unplugging and plugging it back in,

    I don't think I have a NAT error

    I don't encounter any errors

    my ISP is Bigpond

my UPnP is unknown (I don't know what it is)

Also not sure if this is relevant but when I first turn on the xbox (from standby) and go to sign in it takes a long time then times out and the only way that I ama aware of fixing this is holding the power button for 5 seconds

  6. Hello,

Here you can check out more about NAT and where to find which type you have
    support.xbox.com/.../nat-error-solution

As for UPnP, that is found in your router settings, which can usually access by entering your gateway in your browser, usually 192.168.0.1

If that is not your gateway you can go to start on a windows computer, search for CMD open it and enter "IP config" , it will then tell you your gateway

Then you can check if your UPnP is active or not

This is required to know if it's your ports affecting your mic or not

  7. My NAT is open as for my UPnP, it tells me it is currently active. My Ip address is [Mod Removed] and my unique identifier is uuid:
[Mod Removed]. My MAC address is [Mod Removed].

    ????

    tnx

    Callum

  11. You mentioned you had this on your 360 aswell, could it be that you have a child account?

Also can you try a powercycle you can do this by holding down the powerbutton for 10 seconds on your console untill it turns off, then disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds to plug it back in.

If not I suggest calling Xbox Support because this is very strange, your NAT is fine, you tried different controllers, UPnP active and it doesn't work :/

Lips number one hits microphone problem

Is the mic an xbox usb mic or just a 3rd party mic? If it's 3rd party it may not work with the titles properly.

Cannot get the headphones to work or the mic

Microphone send ugly noise all the time

My mic usually has the same problem, but my Xbox Controller's mic port is causing the problem. Either the controller mic port could be their issue, the mic plug-in cord, or the mic in general. Feedback has also had issues with constant screeches.

    Mic sensitivity

is it your mic that is too loud or is it other people you are in a party with?

to adjust the sensitivity of the mic, press the Xbox button on the controller then press RB 3 times to get to the System tab and select Audio from the options there.

this will allow you to turn down mic monitoring so your mic is less sensitive.

if it is other people in your party who have their mics too sensitive then they will have to adjust the mic monitoring on their Xbox
