    Xbox mic works fine with friends in party but hear nothing in game chat.


    I have had my x1 for a little over a week and have noticed since day one whether it be Titanfall or BF4 that I hear nobody talking. No game chat or anything.

    When I connect too a party I can talk to my friend fine, and the sound is clear. But Out of party the mic symbol beside each name does not show any activity or is not present at all. Its not a big issue its just I want to know everything works before I have
    to go through the headache of sending things in for replacements.

    ( I tested the mic in the party and the green dot shows activity every time)

    Xbox stereo headset mic doesn't work in game chat for Rainbow Six Siege??

    I recently bought the stereo headset for my xbox one. Everything works fine, except for game chat. In party chat I can talk and hear other people, but when I play Rainbow Six Siege I cant hear game chat, nor does the mic work. I don't see any settings that
    would explain this. I tried game chat on other games and it works. But when I play R6S nothing in game chat works. Is this somehow a problem with my mic? Or the game? The mic works fine everywhere else.

    My headset works fine, it has sound and the mic works. Game chat works too but I can’t hear other party members in Party Chat but they can hear me

    Mic not working in Fortnite - Xbox one.

    This same issue has been ongoing for months. My son can hear his friends but his mic doesnt work.

    The “fix” where you turn off the mic and push to talk in fortnite settings would occasionaly work bit now doesnt.

    all other games and apps work with the mic.

    The problem persists on another xbox signed in with his profile, using a different headset, so this is not a hardware issue.

    other profiles on his xbox have no issues with sound/mic

    this is an issue effecting certian profiles accross fortnite only party chat, xbox party chat works fine, which cant be used for crossplatform party play.

    I have the same issue as does my buddy but with the added effect of our 'Mute' buttons not lighting at all. in the party it says are mics should be working but nothing comes out. We hear others just fine in the party as well as in reg game chat if we switch.

    i have this exact same issue with my day on controller like the game in headset volume stuff works but mic isn't responding at all for people to hear me talk in game chat or party chat yet if i go to skype the mic works just fine.
