Xbox Mic not working after December Update

Since the last update from December my mic did not work. It was working fine a few days after the update was completed successfully, no errors, no issues. Then my mic suddenly stopped working, resetted the xbox started working again, but the next day it
didn't work again and just stopped working.

I cleared my chache, Hard reset, unplugging the xbox, unplugging the headset plugging it back in, checked my privacy settings, checked the enforcement for possible comms suspension and see nothing, I used a Brand new controller, batteries, cortana/alexa,
checked my nat, connections, plugged my new headset same problem, mic not muted.

So far none of these solutions worked, could this be a software/hardware issue from the previous update? If so, are you investigating this issue and make a hotfix patch for this anytime soon?

Yes I connected them directly, controllers are up to date, I can hear audio and voice chat, same with the new headset, it's only the mic that isn't registering, I test it in party chat showing my headset is connected, it doesn't highlight when I talk even
in game chat

Tried it, still not working, same with the other new headset with adapter.

If you can, can you report this issue to your xbox tech team to look into it? As I said I can wait for a hotfix.

The original Xbox One controllers didn't include a 3.5mm jack. You mentioned that you were using a newer controller and as that will have a 3.5mm jack, it may be possible that the problem you are having with your headset is related to that following the
recent Dashboard update. Unfortunately it appears that Microsoft have introduced an incompatibility between consoles and controllers using the 3.5mm jack.

You may be able to use a stereo headset adapter or chatpad to workaround the issue as the 3.5mm jacks on those devices don't appear to be affected.
